Quakes and More Quakes
Saturday, December 20, 2008, 05:16 AM - Forecasts
On December 18, 2008, Chile experienced a 6.3 quake, a decent magnitude quake, but if one is not following earquakes, then it wouldn't mean very much. However, years ago, after reading Diana Rosenberg's awesome story on the Lisbon quake in the 1700s, I learned that many quakes have a connection to a quake on the other side of the world. The quakes would occur within a short time, perhaps a few days of each other. If push comes to shove when observing the plates moving, then it makes sense that displacement in one part of the world affects the other side of the world.

Today, December 20, 2008, Japan experienced a 6.5 quake. In Chile,
the aftershocks continued on December 19th sending 7 more tremors or shocks of 4.2 to 5.9 magnitude. That is a whole lot of shaking! It follows that Japan may have aftershocks as well.

Chile is a location that has an earthquake climate (weather term). It is a location that is noted for the highest magnitude quake, a 9.6 back in 1960 ever recorded. The tsunami quake event in Banda Aceh a few years ago may have equaled or topped it however.

The quake in Chile was predictable using long range weather techniques. In an extensive study of earthquakes since the summer of 2008, a prepared forecast included the week of December 12, 2008, a full Moon period, for the time of a more than average earthquake experience. The next period, December 19th, a quarter Moon would also carry the signature of more tremors or aftershocks.

The study is ongoing and one accurate forecast is good, but consistency is better. It would be a hoot! to be able to crack Mother Nature's code.

The Historical Hurricane of Independence
Saturday, December 6, 2008, 09:30 AM - Forecasts
HISTORICAL HURRICANE OF INDEPENDENCE
The general information found in the internet is about a storm that formed August 29, 1775 and moved off September 9, 1775 and had affected from the Outer Banks up to Newfoundland. Entries from historical files reveal that Norfolk, VA lost many ships and there were many deaths associated with the storm.

A new Moon chart for August 26, 1775, 0:03:47 am LMT in Norfolk, VA reveals a new Moon at the 4th house cusp, a house that covers about one half of the weather. The new Moon was applying to a square to Uranus, the planet of disruption and extreme changes in temperature. Inside the 4th house is Neptune which provides peculiar weather from mists to floods. Neptune is square to the local ascendant, Gemini. Gemini and its ruling planet Mercury control the winds. Mercury rules both the 1st and 4th house cusps giving about 75% of the forecast. The Moon applies to the local 4th cusp, then to a conjunction with Neptune – all of these facts from the chart easily describe and add up to what was to become the Hurricane of Independence.

While the hurricane doesn’t relate to the 2008 winter, it does show violent weather at the time of the American Revolution. Tony Williams has just published (August 2008) a book with the title, Hurricane of Independence: The Untold Story of the Deadly Storm at the Deciding Moment of the American Revolution. Is it mere coincidence that his book review is on BOOKTV at the very moment I am writing this blog?

Williams writes that the storm is the 8th deadliest Atlantic hurricane of all time, killing more than 4,000 people. All this in an era where hurricanes were viewed as omens from God. Though the storm was devastating along the east coast up through New Foundland, the revolution continued and America grew to be a great power, a super power.

We are a young country compared to much of the western world and to Asia and the young make mistakes. The current crises of our finances is evidence that lessons are to be learned and indeed they will be learned and many will suffer while learning. How long will it take to learn the lessons.

Some assure that it will be a matter of less than a year, yet the astrology of the coming years has a very different approach, one that will take until 2015-17 to reach any stabilization. The pockets of greed and the mismanagement of the taxpayer’s monies will take a long time to unravel and regroup.

The crises, the changes which so many wanted are in play. The dominoes began to fall with Lehman Brothers collapsing or was it Enron and those kinds of gangs? Well, the time has come to explore what it is like to have an outer planet that tends to transform what it touches looked at with more respect.

Pluto, you say! A planet so small and so far away, how could that possibly transform anything.
If you study astrology (western tropical style) then you would be able to answer the question.

For many years prior to the war for independence, in the early 1700s, Pluto entered the zodiac sign of Capricorn and brought a change to the culture and the seeds of revolution were planted. More of that story can be found here http://schillerinstitute.com/fid_02-06/ ... e_rev.html

Some years later, there came the opening square between Uranus and Pluto and you know the rest of the story. What is truly significant is that there were seven – seven exact hits with the opening square. Even more significant is that history may repeat itself in its agony of recession when we, around the globe, but especially in the USA experience the same seven – seven hits from Uranus and Pluto beginning in 2009 and last for many years. The rest of the story with dates and timeline in found in the article here: http://weathersage.com/articles/index.htm The title is Radical and Intense, the New World Order.

Vestiges of Pluto in Sagittarius
Thursday, November 27, 2008, 10:00 AM - Forecasts
The new Moon in Sagittarius is applying in about two hours. I wake up to CNN news of a terrorist attack in Mumbai, India. Immediately I look to where Pluto is located and found that the planet had migrated from the last degree of Sagittarius to zero degrees of Capricorn, Saturn's sign to also not return to Sagittarius during our lifetimes.

The attack is a horror show for those people who were Americans or British subjects. The cowardly attacks began at the dark of the Moon. Could it be the last vestiges of the holy war that has been raging so very identified with Pluto in Sagittarius? Let it be so I beg.

What can Pluto now in Saturn's sign Capricorn bring to the daily table?

As a Capricorn rising individual with Saturn square to my ascendant, I deal with Capricorn and Saturn issues all the time. Reality has been a theme in my life as far back as I can remember. It is a tough theme, demanding, clear, reality-ridden and ambitious. As a person well past middle-age, I can say that I am grateful for the disciplined life I've led - a happy life.

Can the rest of humanity deal with the realities we will experience under Pluto in Capricorn? There may not be a choice for those who have reveled in the excesses of Pluto in Sagittarius. The denial of the pleasures the God-like Jupitarians have allowed may come crashing down with the patriarchal new order of regulation, control, authority and punishment which severe Saturn will impose.

I'm reminded of a scene out of the movie Dr. Zhivago when the war was over and the kindly doctor returned home to his mansion only to find many families living there and his own family relegated to one room. A rather rude awakening of how things had 'changed'. How will life be in our new and changing world?

During the Russian Revolution during the time of World War I, Pluto had just entered the opposite (Cardinal!) sign of Cancer. Neptune was in the opposite sign of Leo and Uranus was in Aquarius. Saturn at the time was in the same cardinal sign Cancer, a double rude awakening to a new way to live. Cardinal signs are required to take action, to initiate and move on. The cardinal sign of Capricorn is the highest of the four cardinal signs and I think has more power than the earlier signs. Can you feel it...I think you can.

Thanks for reading random thoughts on the approach to the New Moon at 5:49 degrees Sagittarius - celebrate while you can.

Living with extreme..
Wednesday, September 5, 2007, 12:01 PM - Forecasts
Blog entry September 5, 2007
Hello friends,
The impact of 'extreme' is felt by everyone, even those who would not admit to it. The explosion of communication capabilities for infants to those who are at the other end of the life spectrum affect our daily lives in one way or another. There are weather extremes, stock market extremes, housing extremes, population extremes and food issues extremes just to name a few. 'Extreme' weather has been getting a lot of attention for the global warming alarmists and some of the information looks convincing, however, I think the next few years will find the alarmists changing their tune.
Once colder temperatures take over, global warming will be old news and a new song will be sung. What could be strong enough to cause the turnaround? There are several factors moving into place beginning now. Another factor moves into place in late December and a third factor enters the picture in January 2008. By February 8 out of 10 weather factors will be in place to start the new tune.
It won’t be cold everywhere and the variations of temperature from cold to warm will happen also, just as the shifts to warm happened some years ago.
The extremes of media hype will have to calm down when government steps in to regulate one or more forms of our extreme communication abilities. Which one will it be? Free speech is guaranteed in the Constitution but will the press go too far one day soon? Will the wide open spaces of the internet suddenly get fenced in? Could cell phones become a thing of the past? What could possibly replace a cell phone? Ugly thought, I know. Any of this is possible with the upcoming new factors sliding into place.

Global Warming....Huh?
Tuesday, March 6, 2007, 02:04 PM - Forecasts
Dear friends,
The ice may be melting and a few polar bears may get caught on a floating iceberg from time to time, but the general public should not fall prey to the hype - yes, hype - of the media and the former would be president to the crisis of 'global warming'.

Think of the word global. Do you know how much global history of warming is available? Not very much. Global warming issues are new and exciting to talk about. Media infusion and confusion is a fairly new phenomenon, designed to make money and to propagandize whatever the bucks will buy - fame, prestige, new grant money and a number of other incentives.

John Naisbitt, a truly international author of books such as Mega Trends and Mind Set offers sane and realistic advice on global warming. It is the simple statement he wrote that has me admiring the way his mind works. He wrote on page 27 of Mind Set "Read a significant number of the 963 books on global warming listed on Amazon.com and, to keep a balance, read from the 1,054 books (July 2006) on global cooling and the coming ice age?".

Naisbitt's advice is very good. I have read a few of the newer books on the subject and I agree with John that there is no absolute consensus, no hard facts to base the global warming issues on. It is a debate that no doubt will continue because it can be made into a panic situation and panic sells and sells and sells.
Naisbitt also concludes on page 31 that "It is in the nature of human beings to bend information in the direction of desired conclusions."

I can recommend another book that gives a good rational to global warming and climate change. It is Why Geography Matters: Three Challenges Facing America: Climate Change, the Rise of China, and Global Terrorism by Harm de Blij (Paperback - Feb 12, 2007)

Another is The Winds of Change: Climate, Weather, and the Destruction of Civilizations by Eugene Linden (Hardcover - Feb 7, 2006).

A thought comes to my mind where global warming issues have accelerated over the past 10-12 years. The planet Pluto has been in the zodiac sign of Sagittarius since 1995. Pluto represents the global consciousness, extremes and threats, rather than any weather value in astrometeorology, but the weather value for the zodiac sign Sagittarius is warm and dry.

In the next few years, Pluto transitions and moves into the zodiac sign of Capricorn. The weather value for Capricorn is cold and dry. It won't be long before the global warming could change into global cooling.

Keep in mind that the proponents of global warming are members of the same group which includes meteorologists - the same meteorologists who cannot develop a long range weather forecast.
