Florida and many other coastal states are held hostage by Mother Nature who dangles the threat of mayhem and destruction and loss over the residents and businesses. The 2009 Hurricane Report - Hunting the Hurricanes is now available. The information is original and impressive because the U.S. Weather Service cannot perform this service. Go to http://weathersage.com/hurricane_flier.htm to read more about the upcoming six month hurricane season.
There is little that can be done to stop the storms - or is that a true statement? It is safe to say that modern technology has advanced enough to focus attention on the work of the late Dr. Irving P. Krick. A recent internet search has revealed many articles written about this controversial individual who was able to develop long range weather forecasts that were accurate. Why is his work and name buried until now? Learn more about the man by reading the free e-book on the main website, Weathersage Home. I think you will be amazed and yet left wondering why the weather service is still operating in the dark.
Why doesn’t the government focus their energy on combating the storms with an army of warriors and equipment? Most of the major hurricanes are storms last several days or even up to a week or two and are well-tracked by meteorologists once the storm can be seen. There is enough time to gather the forces to destroy or deter the storm – if – the government would develop them. What does our tax dollar give us in the realm of hurricanes? It is the ability to watch a storm on television ravage an area while nothing is done about it.
Do you remember Hurricane Fay 2008 who liked Florida's landscape so much that she came to be regarded as the visitor who overstayed her welcome? The storm made four landfalls in Florida over a two week period becoming the first storm in recorded history to strike the state (or any state) four concurrent times and of course leaving in her wake a costly scene of damage.
The 3rd Annual Hurricane Report will inform you of the storms that will develop during the six month season. Imagine what could result from a merging of information systems.

The Red River in N. Dakota is rising to exceed previous levels. Marc Penfield's chart for the state and for Fargo show the current transits tightly affecting each one. I prefer to start with a chart of the state because if there is a disaster, the state chart would take a hit in a few places such as finances, deaths, and other points in the chart. Many times a chart of a city or town can be more important and can be used as you would a state chart. Ex. the founding of Newport, RI 1639 is the chart I use for RI. The best locational chart is the one that will give you the best predictive capabilities - the angles are affected by transits. If you are keeping a notebook of places, then cast and print the chart and make your notes on the chart to use in the future.

The 4th house cusp is Gemini with ruler Mercury conjunct Uranus. Gemini would be a variety of weather and cool to cold and breezy.
the conjunction easily explains the record setting kinds of weather. Uranus is also co ruler of the ascendant. Saturn also co ruler of the ascendant is in Virgo - brings in the Mercury again. The Moon in Pisces in the 1st house is very strong for water issues and the Moon is by degree exactly square the 4th cusp.
If you cast the chart you would find transiting Neptune conjunct the ascendant - this is a very long transit.

9:15 Cancer midheaven.
The 4th house 9:15 Capricorn ruled by Saturn in Capricorn at 6 Cap. The Moon is 28 Sat, close to the natal Saturn and the midpoint is where transit Pluto is now. Transit Neptune is opposite natal Venus at 24 Leo and Venus is the ruler of the ascendant.

Hello everyone, (those who are subscribed to the weather 3-mail list)
Perhaps this message belongs on my blog, but while I was thinking about this subject then it belongs in print. (AND ON THE BLOG)
If you have been to the weather website, you may have noticed that the purpose of my work is to promote and popularize long range weather forecasting. In the 15 yrs of study and networking
I want to say that I'm so proud of the people who want to be included in this movement.
In this season's weather report you may notice that I've given credit to the forecasters who are excelling in this field. Ken Ring, Nancy McEwen and Ken Paone ... let's not forget Karl Sakle who wrote the weather book (Europe)... I am so proud to be amongst you and may you continue with more and more excellent forecasts.
The general public who reads through the report will hopefully visit your sites and become more interested in furthering astrometeorology.
I would ask that anyone who is writing for a newsletter or the like if you would like to be included in the list of astrometeorologists, please let me know (send me a private email) and I will add your name and the website where your forecast can be read by the general public.
In these global times of chaos and change, perhaps our constant work in describing weather events well into the future will gain some attention and perhaps bring us change....dollars would be better....grants, working positions, consultations - you name it and put it out for the universe to grab. Looking back, I think that is what I did and look at where our work has brought us.

In the northern hemisphere, sprintime arrives March 20th. I would like to present a few mundane comments here along with some ideas of
weather for the upcoming season.
The chart for Washington DC, March 20, 2009 at 7:43:38 am EDT gives an ascendant of 11:41 Aries
and a midheaven of 6:26 Capricorn, natural signs on the angles.
10th house - party in power, the leader; the ruling planet of the 10th - where it is found is a focus for the season.
The ruler of the midheaven is Saturn in the 6th of Placidus houses. Saturn is retrograde at 17 traveling back
to 14 Virgo and ends the season at 16:00 Virgo direct - not much at play there, rather a small range of degrees
to move around in; that could be a good focus. Saturn rx in the 6th house concerns itself with paying serious
attention to structure in daily life and going over (rx) existing problems that need to be fixed. Health conditions most
certainly will surface and other topics that will If you run the chart, you will see Saturn facing all the remaining
planets from Pluto, working for the 10th down through Venus who is conjunct the ascendant, but - wait - she's retrograde
just minutes away from the exact conjunct. Venus doesn't make it out of Aries and over the ascendant until
the first week of May. The 3 fastest moving planets are in the 12th house suggesting that there is a tremendous amount
of work going on that we cannot see yet.
The hidden agendas should surface as the planets emerge from the 12th house. The Sun makes it to the ascendant of this chart
in 11 to 12 days - we should have a good idea of where Obama is really going because the Sun also represents the leader, as well as the ruler of the sign on the midheaven.
If you follow the planets during the season as we do in long range weather forecasting, you begin to get a picture of some of the
events that will take place in the next 3 months. See if you can figure out what will happen when Mercury, then Mars
cross the ascendant.
During the season there are two pairs of planets that will emphasize the type of events. The Jupiter and Neptune conjunction
in Aquarius will denote the flooding that will take place and the torrential rainfall during the season. The pair continue on into
the summer season and lend their actions to the tropical weather. The hurricane season begins early and this year, even earlier
than expected.
The 13 lunations for the season show Venus and Mars chasing each other, catching and passing each other, then Venus stops, looks back and chases after Mars again. This pair also induces rain and confirms the idea of a very wet spring season.
Mercury represents the winds and it will travel to 1 degree Gemini and station there after making a square aspect
to the Jupiter Neptune pair. Mercury travels back to the square degree at 26 Taurus to produce more severe weather in
certain locations.
More long range forecasts will be posted by March 20th on the main website.

Michael Reilly (Discovery Channel) writes an article about the strength of hurricanes and the lunar cycle impact. Researcher sees a trend in Atlantic storms; mixing tides could be factor. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29530066/ for the rest of this incredible story!
The results of the researchers may change the way we look at weather. The story basically says that the Moon could influence the weather. I can't help but be impressed with the discovery; what a wakeup call for the meteorologists to have discovered that phenomenon. Also in the article that the Moon's spooky influence on earth is legendary but the phenomena attributed to the Moon are almost exclusively superstition. It makes me smile, actually laugh, to see the baby steps the researchers are taking and the incredible CYA sidestepping going on. What do you think?
The article goes on to show an easy way to see if the Moon is really influencing hurricanes. That would be to look at the hurricane data from 1878-1950! A good idea but flawed because of the dates included.
The reality check for the information found between 1878-1950 - before computers and any kind of accurate accumulated data for those years is easy to understand. The researchers results would be fraught with error because of incomplete data from anytime before 1900. Beginning a study with data from 1900 can be chancy.
I will credit the scientists and meteorologists for providing good statistical data for modern times. One excellent location is
here: http://weather.unisys.com/hurricane/atlantic/index.html
In fact, four years ago I performed my own study from this data gathering information on the Moon's influence on hurricane totals north or south of the equator. I wanted to know if the storm totals increased at these times of high declination degrees. I think the results are interesting but not conclusive - there is a tendency for increase but it is not consistent. Keep in mind that we do not have hundreds of years of hurricane data.
If you are interested in more detail, you can examine the spreadsheet on my website http://weathersage.com/resources/index.htm
When there, please click on Hurricanes (Excel spreadsheet).
The objective for my study was to find out if the number of hurricanes increased significantly when the Moon was in high declination degrees. The Moon can reach almost 29 degrees of declination north and south in its cycle. And...the air tides are carried further north and south over the earth when the Moon is in the higher degrees. Air tides mixing - you bet!
Astrometeorologists (I'm one of them) are far beyond baby steps in using the Moon as a weather influence. We have been developing long range forecasts for hundreds of years with the understanding that the Moon controls a good part of our weather. Ourforecasts are not for 5 or 10 days into the future but more like 5 months or 5 years. Don't be fooled when the TV weather person says something like 'and now for your long range forecast, or some say futurecast'. Yet, it's a good thing they are taking baby steps...isn't it?
