FALL 2002 EQUINOX SOLARMAP for USA

The map of the USA depicts the planetary positions for September 23, 2002, the official start of the fall season. Each of the planet lines describes some of the major types of weather for the areas in which they fall. More details of national weather highlights are found in the full report.

This map is a broad view of where the planets will be found angular in the various regions of the states if individual horoscope wheels are prepared for the locations. History has proven that planets on angles of a chart can be the dominant weather indicator for the season.

Beginning at the left side of the map the light blue line is for the planet Neptune. This planet falls on the midheaven (10th house angle) of the local charts for the west coast USA and has to do with cool, moist, fog, mist, smoky, haze, tropical influence or dust swirls or freakish weather events and flooding.

Saturn, a brown colored line, curves through the Midwest indicating difficult weather for Saturn has to do with cold and low pressure events adding gloom to the forecast. Since Saturn is in the zodiac sign Gemini, the winds will be the problem this season.

The black line belongs to Pluto and in weather, this planet represents extremes of weather, usually strong, intense and at times violent.

Uranus is shown with the orange colored line over the Rocky Mtns. Uranus can bring in freezing cold weather; it is usually dry and indicative of high-pressure. Many times Uranus is involved in record-breaking weather events, when combined with other planets. See the details in the national highlights.

Moving over to the mid-west we find the red planet Mars depicted with a red colored line as well. Mars is hot, dry, action-oriented and responsible for fast moving aggressive weather events. It is very destructive when combined with other similar harsh planets.

In the northeast the Sun is shining for some very fine fall weather. The blue line extends from the Carolinas up through the entire northeast. The Sun represents warmth and dry conditions and that is not good news for the current drought deficits.

Off the east coast we find the planet Mercury, a dark purple line. Mercury is representative of wind in general. We will find many turbulent wind events over the course of the fall season. Please see the Hurricane Report in the main forecast.
