DECLINATION OBSERVATIONS for Summer 2007

Transiting Planets in Declination from June 21, 2007 - September 21, 2007

DECLINATION - Measuring and following the position of the planets and Moon by degrees north or south of the equator for a three month period. Studying the declination positions along with the horoscope chart and observing the solarmapping graphic information adds interesting details to the seasonal long range forecast.

The lines on the graph presents a picture of the planets as they perform a graceful dance through the heavens. When the planet lines cross each other there is a related weather event that is usually more impacting than the average weather for a designated location.

At the beginning of the winter season, the sun is always found at the Tropic of Capricorn, its maximum position in declination. Trace the sun's line (blue) on the graph from the this position and watch it rise to the equator in March. Note the position of the moon (dark blue line) on the graph; it has achieved its standstill position this year at 29 degrees north and south declination, the maximum high degrees it can possibly achieve during its cycle. Look at this website to further explore this natural phenomenon cycle. http://www.iol.ie/~geniet/eng/moonperb.htm

The summer season begins with declination lines of Pluto and Neptune (line colors are black and turquoise) aspecting the Saturn (brown) line. Three harsh planets were together in the spring, producing a number of violent storms. This summer, Saturn (brown line) will move away but very slowly relinquishing its hold on the dismal weather events. Mars, the red line moves to line up with Saturn in mid July. As a result of this combination, severe thunderstorms will erupt in various parts of the country. Midsummer will be very hot as Mars aligns with the Sun to beat down unrelenting heat. Note that Mars is on a climb towards the north declination. The closer the planet is to the north, the hotter the season in many locations. In the first two weeks of August, Venus is at 5 degrees of north declination and the graph depicts where Venus will align (contraparallel) with Uranus, also at 5 degrees of declination south to produce cooler temperatures and at times a raw and damp (dank) kind of weather condition in various locations. The third week of August will find the Sun, Mercury and Saturn interacting that should produce a severe storm. All descriptions of weather conditions are backup information for particular locations.
