SUMMER SEASON SOLARMAP
June 21, 2007 - September 21, 2007

The solarmap provides additional information when developing a weather report for a three month season. With this wonderful tool, the planet line placements on a map of the USA helps the viewer to quickly determine where some of the strongest weather events may take place across the nation. The colored planet line positions are taken from the chart (horoscope) based on the moment the Sun enters the sign of Cancer, where the position of the Sun is at its most northern position for the summer season. The planet lines represent the most intense positions at a glance. For example the planet Mercury over Florida during hurricane season gives one pause. Mercury is the planet of wind.

Planets are associated with temperature, moisture and wind indications and certain combinations of planets describe weather events at their locations. Each planet line is derived from the actual horoscope wheel of the Cancer ingress. The planets you see are placed at four power points on the horoscope and are displayed on the map as the ascendant (1st house cusp), the immum coeli (4th house cusp), the descendant (7th house cusp) and the midheaven (10th house cusp).

Solar Map Analysis

Beginning at the west coast, there are no planet lines to discuss. The individual charts for the coast must be analyzed in order to make a seasonal forecast. The first line to observe is the black node line. The node is not a planet and therefore has no weather value, however, the node is being observed for other indications. Jupiter, the blue line over the Rockies can be good news as Jupiter is usually beneficial and this year it has more power. The basic meaning would be that crops in this region would have a good growing season. Since the line is mostly over the Rockies, it could mean that the weather may be more pleasant rather than more extreme.

The Uranus orange line is at the place where mountains and the Colorado plateau merge. Uranus is usually a very cold line indicating that temperatures may be below normal for the season and it also suggests that dry conditions are possible and that the air is very electric. Thunderstorms could spark fires but overall the summer could be somewhat cooler. The purple line of the Moon extends over Texas and the states north of Texas. The Moon is the wettest of all the planets therefore precipitation is expected in more than average amounts here.

Next is the analysis of the Pluto black line with the Sun line, blue. Not so fortunate will be the increase of heat for summertime at the midsection of the country. At the great lakes and much of the eastern USA the Mercury line indicates a windy, perhaps a cooler than average season. The same forecast holds true for Florida where the Mercury line extends.
