MAPPING THE PLANETS ACROSS THE USA
FALL 2008
FALL SEASON SOLARMAP
September 22 - December 21, 2008The solarmap provides a fantastic visual and it is one of the many tools or models used to forecast long range weather. The information for the map comes from the chart erected for the first moment of the fall season 2008.
The colored lines represent each of the planets streaming across the map of the USA and each line provides very important weather information as each planet represents a form of weather which could impact the area where it falls on the map. The astrometeorologist understands that the chart for the season is a birth chart, for whichever location is plotted or observed. Very simple ideas come from the visual of the solar map.
Solar Map Analysis
The planet lines represent the type of weather that influences as the season unfolds at the location.
To begin, at the left of the map you will see the blue line of Jupiter whose influence is usually evident of fair, warm and dry weather. However, since Jupiter has been in the sign of Capricorn for the past 3 seasons, we have seen that it is not the beneficial good weather Jupiter but rather a Jupiter that is under the influence of Saturn,, therefore the magnificence and beneficence of Jupiter is very much diminished.
In the west, the very obvious lines of Mercury and Mars (purple and red) offer a cold and dry influence for one thing, but the ominous combination of these planets in California brings in the normal climate in the fall as one of dry and prone to fires. Mercury and Mars in the airy sign of Libra will bring Santa Ana winds that will be excessive and bring more damage and suffering.
Venus, the green line streams across the Rockies bringing early snows in higher elevations. Venus is also a wet planet that influences southern California and Baha for excessive rain more towards eastern California into Arizona.
Weather happens everywhere even if there are no planet lines for every state in the union and in this case, the charts must be observed. Moving on to the light blue line of Neptune in the middle of the country is surely a question of moisture - what kind of moisture can be expected for fall in the middle of the USA? Neptune represents any kind of moisture from mists, fog, rain that could turn into flooding. Neptune often brings in peculiar kinds of weather, weather that may be unusual to the place it is affecting. In the south at Texas Neptune is in hard connection to a stormy horizon, but in Minnesota, the storms arrive with the colder air attached.
The next line is ...Saturn... ominously situated at the headline grabbing position (midheaven/10th cusp) in the northeast that also includes Washington DC. Saturn is not the bringer of calm and pleasant weather. Difficulty in weather is promised by the Saturn placement. Both for weather and this year, the elections, Saturn, strong in a compatible earth sign Virgo brings unpleasant events. Accompanying Saturn will be an opposition to Uranus. When the 2 slow moving planets were previously opposed (in the same signs but reversed) we experienced the great northeast blackout of 1965. Will history repeat itself? Perhaps not, but the opposition is duly noted as Uranus can be very electrical and Saturn presents limitations through the opposition. Back on November 9, 1965 at 5:16pm, the lights went out from New York to Canada.
The usual weather for a Saturn and Uranus opposition can be summed with these words - cooler to cold and stormy. The fall season gradually loses the warmth by November and in December the colder temperatures will prevail. The Sun shines brightly in the mid Atlantic Ocean, keeping the tropical waters warm. The last line on the map is Pluto, a planet that encourages extremes of weather. The combination of the warm Sun and Pluto in the islands near Puerto Rico and the lee and windward islands may fulfill the stormy weather/hurricanes outlined in my 2008 Hurricane Report. As of the September peak of hurricane season, there are 10 named storms of the forecasted 20 storms in the report.
