HURRICANE EDITH IN LOUISIANA September 16, 1971
The Saturn and Neptune connection. Will history repeat itself?
After two devastating hurricane seasons in 2004 and 2005, will the season of 2006 bring more death and destruction to already hard-hit Gulf Coast and Florida residents? The answer is yes.Planetary positions in specific locations do indeed provide long range weather information. This has been proven time and time again with many years of very good forecasting by Astrometeorologists world-wide. The forecaster usually works as a single researcher and analyzer - no staff, no salary but a desire to provide weather information. A combined information from Astro and other Meteorologists who have the funds and staff could improve hurricane reporting.
Thirty-five years ago a tropical depression formed September 5, 1971 just east of the Leeward Islands. By the 7th, it was a tropical storm near the north coast of Venzuela. Continuing west northwest the storm intensified and became a hurricane the next day .
Intensifying as she came to the Central American coastline, now known as Hurricane Edith, the winds were strong at 160 mph. Edith finally reached the Gulf of Mexico as a minimal tropical storm but she was able to restrengthen in the Gulf of Mexico to a 50 mph tropical storm. She moved quickly northeastward, strengthening to a 95 mph hurricane on the 16th before hitting southern Louisiana and bringing heavy rain to the Gulf Coast.
The lunar phases of the Moon are a part of the prediction models. The quarter Moon of September 11th simply and clearly shows the expected weather according to basic influences.
The fourth and first houses of weather have dual signs with planetary rulers Jupiter and Neptune at zero degrees of Sagittarius. See example 1. When Jupiter and Neptune aspect each other there can be very heavy rainfall, flooding and flash flooding. The planet Mercury at zero degrees of Virgo is in harsh aspect to Neptune and Jupiter, which would stir up the winds to high levels of velocity. Saturn, the indicator of a low pressure event aspects the 3 planets and brings the wind and rain to hurricane force. In addition, Mars (aggressive action) and Uranus (high pressure cold air) are both in sextile aspect to the first house cusp, adding fuel to the fire of Edith. Capping off an already dangerous indication of weather is the insurance of Venus at 10th house cusp bringing in heavy precipitation.

September, 2006 - Does History Repeat Itself?
The Full Moon, a *SuperMoon of September 7th 2006 resembles the chart of Hurricane Edith 1971. See example 2. The similarities are the two weather houses namely one and four are once again having the signs Sagittarius and Pisces on the cusp with both rulers in aspect to each other. For the low pressure, Saturn is also in opposition to Neptune. Mercury and Mars straddle the 10th house cusp for a tempestuous velocity of wind while the node of the Moon resides suspiciously on the cusp of the house. The Sun is in square aspect to the first house creating above normal temperatures and Pluto is in square to the fourth house calling attention to the dire weather and destruction
In 1971 there were 13 named storms of which Edith was one. In 2006, will history repeat itself? A hurricane similar to Edith will affect the Gulf Coast as well as many other hurricanes that will build mostly in August and September 2006. Will you be prepared?
For the 2005 Hurricane Season I offered this forecast - the season would be riddled with storms. That statement is proof enough of the good work the alternative forecaster can provide.

**SuperMoon is a word coined by Richard Nolle, Astrologer. He defines the SuperMoon as a perigee-syzygy; namely a new or full moon which occurs at or near (within 90% of) perigee.
