LONG RANGE HURRICANE REPORT 2012

by Carolyn Egan Astrometeorologist

The USA official hurricane season began early and long range weather forecasting picked up on the early tropical influences back in February/March 2012 in the spring report. The Summer report also included the multi influences in the Gulf at the start of the season which would tend to give early warming to produce heat and humidity and in turn develops into stormy conditions in the southeast and the Gulf coast.

At this time, July, 2012, I am preparing a limited long range forecast for many of you who have come to expect the information. The report contains a description of the weather, in general for the the three areas noted. It is difficult to pinpoint and track tropical storms as they develop and move along, but this report is prepared by one person without government subsidy. The weather events are severe for this season and it is best to be prepared. Extreme conditions are not out of the question since I have been forecasting extremes for several years.

The base location for the weather charts is Miami, Florida, however, a broader land mass is checked when SolarMaps are included as one of the forecasting techniques. The maps allow one to see where the planets are angular, therefore powerful enough to generate a forecast.

NOTE: The area of Florida includes Cuba and some islands. The Gulf Coast information looks in the New Orleans and surrounding region. Mexico is included but the systems that are generated generally move out to sea.

The report is ominous with the number of storms that will brew.
